Hey, it’s Jasmine.

As I have shared with you, my experience of traveling to Bali and joining the Yoga Teacher Training with Radiantly Alive sparked massive changes in my life.

I never imagined life would take me down this path, now I not only teach at the same studio I trained with, my dream of owning a meaningful business with my husband Rafael became true! Radiantly Alive has become our home and we would be honored if it becomes yours, too.

You have already checked out the general information about the training, now we’d like to go deeper and share more about the powerful experience you'll go through when you join us.

After years of experience and pouring our hearts into it, we’ve created this training thinking about what would be the best for you. We know the power of being supported through community…

… we build on that…

… we are a family, you will feel it from the moment you first contact us…

… from then on you become one of us, we have you covered, you can count on us…

You will join something that is much more than a regular YTT...  It will be a transformative experience.

If you are thinking about coming… make the leap and do it. You will not regret it and what you gain will surpass any expectations. It is challenging, it is intense, and you will come out the other side stronger than you know and permanently transformed.

The experience

We promise you, this is not just another teacher training! To get a deeper sense of what you can expect click the video below...

We’ve been inspired by the lush, flowing, and enlivening abundance of Bali’s natural world and culture. We've drawn from the energies of Air, Fire, Water and Earth, which are deeply connected to the roots of yoga philosophy. These elements are weaved into the training as they are within all of us, and are harnessed through our practice.

We delve into these energies through participating in ancient Balinese Hindu rituals in some of Bali's most sacred temples, practicing asana by moving our bodies synchronized to our breath and interiorizing yoga philosophy in our minds and hearts. All this will deepen in a way which creates balance, wellbeing and transformation.

Throughout the years, Radiantly Alive’s trainings have constantly evolved. All of us involved with the creation of this training have been through it ourselves. From the culmination of our experiences (and love of growth!) we have developed the most recent version of this YTT to be holistic and innovative.

The main question we asked ourselves is what makes an amazing yoga teacher?

Is it someone who can balance on their fingertips while reciting yoga philosophy? No. It’s someone who is REAL.

  • Someone who can hold space for others.

  • Who is vulnerable.

  • Who is authentic.

  • Someone who has gone DEEP within themselves so they can inspire others to go on the same journey.

Put simply, someone who has the fire within them to ignite their passion to make others shine. In yoga, we call this ‘Tapas’.

>> Step into the fire of self-discovery.
This fire will not burn you, it will only burn what you are not. <<

As you can imagine now, we are not just talking about deepening your practice or giving you the skills you need to teach. Those things WILL change, of course, we will get to that soon.

Though we are interested in the BIG stuff:

  • What your purpose and your unique offering to the world is.

  • How you value yourself as a teacher/leader/person.

  • How you interact with others and connect more deeply in all relationships.

  • And so much more…..

From here, all those revelations and discoveries will transform you to be the best version of yourself, the one you already know wants to radiate and you will use them to become an amazing RA Vinyasa teacher! You’ll never look at a Vinaysa Flow class the same way again.

Finally, and just as important, you will make lifelong bonds that transcend friendship. You will become family for life.

You’ll experience how comfortable you will get with your fellow trainees. Going through all that transformation, learning, and teaching, you will become very close, most probably closer than to other people you have known forever.

You will join a community that extends far beyond the confines of your training and the studio to Radiantly Alive teachers and friends around the globe.

Who knows, you might like it so much that you might decide to stay even longer after the training just to soak it all up... and maybe you even stay with us, as our teacher’s James, Lucinda or Shae did!

hear from our students

Don't only take our word for it... hear from some of our students to learn just how powerful our Yoga Teacher Trainings are and click the video below.

Our lead teacher, James Mattingley, is based at Radiantly Alive, though he trains and teaches all over the world. He will be joined by assistants and guest teachers with specialist experience who are part of our international faculty.

Though the main focus will be RA Vinyasa, you’ll experience different styles of yoga and along with this, different styles of teaching. Each person brings their own unique flavor, demonstrating that what really makes a strong teacher so much about how they embody their unique talents and expression of who they are.

You'll get a chance to explore your creative side, resonating with practices and teaching styles that fit you best, and drawing from this as inspiration to be yourself and deliver your own unique teaching.

James Mattingley

Hi I’m James.

I’m originally from the most beautiful country on earth – New Zealand. I travelled for about 6 years before finding my home in Ubud, Bali.

I’ve trained and been inspired by so many incredible teachers in movement and yoga: martial arts, yoga, fascial exploration, kirtan and much, much more.

I’m most passionate about teaching teachers. About cultivating our innate ability to express ourselves at the front of the room. To stand, speak and lead with depth, strength and authenticity – to teach yoga as a practice of yoga.

Each of us expressing our own gifts, from our own depth, can’t help but light others up.

James is a natural leader, and knows how to share a wealth of knowledge with ease and humor. He pushed us to empowerment and helped us embrace our individuality as teachers.

Persia Juliet

Persia Green Goddess-28-squareweb2.jpg

Hello, my name is Persia.

I've lived in Ubud for just a short while and have been warmly welcomed into the RA family.

I'm originally from Vancouver, Canada and I took my first training at 25 years old in L.A, graduating as a Yoga teacher in 2005. Since then I have taught fulltime in Canada, New Zealand, Australia and now Bali.

With a variety of trainings from Bikram, Baptiste, BodyMindLife, Les Leventhal, Sarah Powers Yin and Ana Forrest Advanced, my teaching style is an eclectic mix.

With deep respect to safe alignment and intelligent sequencing, my offering leans more to the felt experience of the practitioner. I love to sequence to chakras, teach in accordance with the moon cycles and weave vedic themes into classes. My greatest passion has always been the journey of the yoga teacher. I've supported many trainings in Australia and even created a workshop series to support 200hr TTs to stay inspired on the path of fulltime teaching. So it's with deep joy that I get to join the RA teaching faculty, to share, learn and grow with esteemed colleagues in such a magical setting as Bali. I look forward to connecting with you soon.

Jasmine Danino

Hi, my name is Jasmine.

I am originally from Lima, Peru, but now Bali is my new home.

My Yoga journey started several years ago in an attempt to find balance in my fast paced corporate life. Never did I imagine the transformation and beauty it could bring to my world. Yoga allowed me to listen to my intuition and cultivate presence within… and this is what I seek to transmit and share in every class.

I LOVE a challenging breath-led Vinyasa class. The fact that you can truly find presence and connection with movement is what brings me back on my mat and ignites my passion for teaching.

On the other hand, my other passion is Yin Yoga. Appreciating stillness wasn’t something that came easy for me but created deep shifts in my personal practice when I learnt the act of surrender. What I found was freedom.

I look forward to exploring and connecting with all of you. I believe that we are here to bring each other home.

Sanna Devi Dasi - Philosophy

Hi, I’m Sanna,

I was one of Petri Raisanen’s first Ashtanga Yoga students in the early 90’s. In a small loft room of a dance studio in Helsinki, Finland, I practiced this ‘under-ground’ thing called ‘Ashtanga’, and for the next fifteen years I lived a disciplined, sweaty, and strict asana-based life under the glow of the charismatic Sri K. Patthabi Jois.

Patthabi Jois’ sad departure led eventually to the joyful discovery of Lama Marut, my wise and witty spiritual mentor who changed the course of my Yoga path towards the inner practices: meditation, pranayama and eastern spiritual thinking and philosophy. Lama Marut authorized me to teach Tibetan Heart Yoga – a form of Yoga developed secretly inside the Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. My teaching style is therefore not surprisingly firm on the asana side and soft in matters of the heart.

Sanna is a wonderful, experienced teacher and the class has a safe, accepting atmosphere. I feel like I can be just who I am and be exactly where I am in my practice. No need to pretend to be a “perfect yogi”. Sanna also has a great sense of humor and her jokes crack me up every time!

Lucinda Muldoon - Functional Anatomy

Hi, my name is Lucinda.

I grew up in the gorgeous country of Australia and studied rehabilitation at University, later becoming a physical therapist.

I completed my first yoga teacher training on the Sunshine Coast in Australia in 2017, where I found my absolute home in teaching. I have since trained under Janet Stone and most recently completed my 300-hour Level 2 Training with Radiantly Alive in February, finding a bhakti-fun loving teaching style.

I have a deep passion for the anatomical understanding of our fascinating and unique bodies, incorporating the embodiment of the practice to find self-love and expression. Teaching students to push the envelope of questioning the WHY behind their practice, I believe it’s essential to maintain interest and fulfillment in the life of yoga.

Embracing all aspects of yoga, I truly believe it can change your life and have experienced first-hand the beauty of connecting deeper with yourself and in turn, having the ability to share your superpowers.

With such gratitude and admiration within this RA family, I feel very honoured to be a part of the team and am excited to meet you on your journey.

Pedro Salazar

Hi, I’m Pedro.

I am from Spain and I've lived in Bali since 2015.

I started my spiritual journey in 2002, first through Meditation and Energy Healing practices and since 2008 also teaching Yoga. I started working at Radiantly Alive in 2017 and since then I have been involved in many different areas at the studio, teaching and running trainings of Aerial Yoga, sharing sessions and retreats of Meditation and Mystic Healing, and offering a post-training Mentorship Program to our students.

I am part of our Teacher Trainings by organizing the logistics, teaching sessions, and assisting and supporting our students before, during and after the trainings. Our students always remember me for my hugs, which makes me feel very lucky and happy.

Looking forward to meet you in person to share this amazing experience together. Namaste!

Pedro Salazar.jpg
The level of teaching I have been exposed here at the studio has been out of this world. The authenticity of the teachers and their willingness to serve us has been a highlight for me. I feel connected with myself and the others around me. I feel clarity, love, and I am enjoying living with my intention, and being present and mindful in all aspects of my life. I want to go out and share this with the people around me at home. I feel at peace and I am so happy to have been able to do this. Thank you.

Curriculum 200-hr

This is a Vinyasa based training.

Joining our Teacher Training, you will begin a lifelong journey with Radiantly Alive Vinyasa - a precise, breath-led style of practice that will profoundly change the way you practice, learn and teach. If you haven't already, you will discover how to move the body with breath in a way that makes sense and just feeeeeeeeels good.

You’re going to put all these new skills and techniques into practice.

Your experience with us is not just technical and theoretical - there is whole lot of personal practice, hands on work-shopping, and even teaching your own sequences from the first week of training.

You’ll learn from amazing RA studio teachers and our world-class, international faculty about the sequencing, anatomy and alignment required to teach RA Vinyasa, based on the principle of unifying breath and flow, along with the communication skills to lead people from the front of the room.

At the heart of a Vinyasa yoga practice, we are moved from our breath as our bodies experience the invisible forces of the air element that nourishes your cells, provides energy and expansion, allows movement and cleanses your being. Your breath is your life. Through our breath we dive into the invisible force of the air element.

>> He lives most life whoever breathes most air.<<

  • Pranayama & Meditation

  • History of Yoga

  • Philosophy

about Radiantly Alive

Radiantly Alive’s home studio is centered in the spiritual and cultural hub of Bali - Ubud.

This beautiful, safe space located in the center of town overlooks the greenery of the jungle and is just a short walk from the amazing cafes and restaurants that Ubud is globally known for.

We offer our space with an open heart policy, welcoming yogis from all over the world who come here to find mind and body healing. Rekindle your self love, nourish your being and feel inspired to share this energy with the world. Come for the yoga and stay for the family!

We host over 60 classes a week in various styles. The best part - you will have a free pass starting a week before the training and all the way until a week after it finishes so you can explore different yoga styles and teachers.

You can complement your experience by attending workshops on yoga asana, dynamic movement, sequencing, mindfulness,

meditation and even astrology. Or receive a healing therapy session of acupuncture, intuitive bodyworks, craniosacral therapy, traditional Chinese medicine or other.

One of the most valuable aspects of our trainings is that you are in a real studio environment with all our resources at your disposal - that means that although this is a Vinyasa training, you will have the chance to sample a variety of styles like Ashtanga, Yin, Sky Yoga (Aerial), amongst others and experience sessions with all our teachers, exposing yourself to different ways of teaching for you to find what resonates best with you.

Many of our trainees have found us through taking our classes. Some have felt drawn to our trainings without yet visiting us. Every trainee felt a connection to our passion for yoga, a healthy lifestyle and radiant living, and has been happy to join our RA family and get to know our amazing Balinese family that make up our staff.

Describing this training, the teachers, the content and the experience is close to impossible.
Ever since the first time I stepped into RA I felt a sense of warmth, joy and contentment. Since the beautiful souls, Rafael and Jasmine took over ownership this feeling was magnified infinitely, with the addition of love, honesty and safety. They have created a space that welcomes and facilitates growth, supported transformation, vulnerability, learning, questioning, open-mindedness, unconditional love… they have created a family. This is exactly what I needed in the training, it has drawn in people/trainees on this level which creates an unimaginable experience to learn, face challenges and grow together.

I am forever grateful to have been given this opportunity. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

>> Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one. <<

the island of the gods

Simply put, Ubud, Bali is incredible.

The location of Radiantly Alive is no coincidence. ‘Ubud’ in Balinese translates to ‘medicine or healing’.

It’s a small town famous for its big energy.

For centuries people have been coming to Ubud to experience the magic of it’s lush jungles, green rice paddies and the beauty of its rich culture.

It's no surprise Ubud and Yoga are an incredible mix.

In the past two decades, Ubud has grown to be recognized as one of the best places to practice yoga in the world.

Everywhere you look you’ll find people carrying yoga mats, attending classes and workshops, and eating more vegetarian and raw cuisine than you can imagine.

During the training you will meet Bali in a more profound way, the energy will be set to get the most of experiencing sacred temples, water blessings, vibrant rituals, and the nurturing culture Bali has to offer as you delve into the abundance of the four elements.

Whoever we are, whatever we do, wherever we live, the energies of the four elements are constant. In Bali those elements are heightened to a new level.

In Bali, water flows faster, fire burns hotter, the earth is more dense and deep, and the air is rich with spiritual mystery. Our trainings aim to unify these elements to create a holistic experience for you to journey through these energies within you.

Bali is often referred to as the island of "holy water." Home to a countless number of sacred springs they are a key element in this rich culture’s purification ceremonies.

>> Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.<<
Lao Tzu

Locals believe these rituals assist in cleansing our bodies physically, emotionally and spiritually. As part of our own exploration of water, you will experience a sacred water purification ritual at one of Bali’s holiest and oldest temples.

The rest of the day will be spent learning from teachers who are masters in their fields on a variety of subjects–from asana, to philosophy, to public speaking, to creating the life you want for yourself. There will be plenty of time for some fun too–so don’t worry. Our evening sessions and group activities will have you smiling and feeling the love in ways you never thought possible.

The training is held at Radiantly Alive Yoga Studio, in Ubud, Bali. The studio is located in the center of town close to restaurants, shops, and all the yogis you can imagine.

  • Will I have free time?

The short answer is–yes. However, because this is a 200 hour training and we have a lot to cover, there won’t be large amounts of it. There will be time off each week and meal times and breaks are yours.

  • What kind of certification will I receive?

You will receive a 200 Hour Certificate of Completion from Radiantly Alive. Radiantly Alive is a fully accredited Yoga Alliance Yoga School. You may use this certificate to apply for certification with Yoga Alliance.

  • How early should I arrive prior to the training?

This is entirely up to you. If you are travelling long distances, you may want to allow some extra time to get settled in. Also, please consider your Visa restrictions (see Visa section below).

  • What's the weather like in Bali?

Bali is approximately 8 degrees south of the equator. So you can expect a tropical, warm and humid climate all year around with two main distinctive seasons: Dry Season (March-October) and Rainy Season (November-February). The temperature is humid and generally 27-31 (77-88 F).

  • What kind of food is available?

The food in Ubud is absolutely amazing. Whether omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, or completely raw, this town caters to all tastes. Click here for just a small sampling of what Ubud has to offer.

  • What should I bring?

One note: We have a number of special evenings and events planned while you’re with us. One of these nights requires a certain type of dress – please pack a ‘white’ outfit, something that is below knee length for women, and covers the shoulders (men and women).

  • Do I need a visa for Bali?

To enter Indonesia, your passport must have a minimum of 6 months remaining validity from the date of your prospective DEPARTURE FROM Bali. Please be proactive and learn about Visa requirements particular to your own home country in advance of actual travel and ask for confirmation when closer to your departure date since immigration requirements in Indonesia are subject to sudden changes.

If you decide to enter the country on a free, Visa on Arrival, please know this Visa is not renewable. You will be charged a 300,000 IDR fee for every day you overstay your Visa. If you’re planning to overstay less than 3 days, this may be a more affordable option than obtaining a visa. You may also consider obtaining a 60 day Visa on Arrival ($35 USD) which is renewable after 30 days. If you obtain one of these, Radiantly Alive will assist you with the renewal and provide time during the training to go to Immigration for the renewal process, which will cost 600,000/700,000 IDR (can be subject to change).

We will do our best to keep you updated on any changes we become aware of, however it is solely your responsibility to arrange your visa and paperwork for the time you plan to be in Bali. We strongly recommend you obtain a visa in advance from the Indonesian Consulate in your home country. This will allow you to relax and enjoy the training without concerns of Visa renewal. If you elect to get a visa that requires a renewal during the course of the training we cannot guarantee you will have the time and availability to leave the training site to do so.

  • Do I need travel insurance?

It may be worth being comprehensively insured to cover all costs and consequences of medical treatment, repatriation, damage/theft/loss of personal belongings, recovery of course fees and flights booked in the event of cancellation or early departure.

  • What about medical care?

In the case of minor illnesses or injuries, there are a few medical clinics in the local Ubud area and several international clinics closer to the airport. These clinics typically do not accept insurance (though you may be reimbursed through your insurance provider) and are relatively inexpensive. If situations require extreme medical emergency care, patients are evacuated to Singapore. Due to significant cost evacuation care, it is advisable to check this coverage is included on your medical plan.

    Important warning

it shouldn’t need to be stated though due to the extreme nature of penalties in Indonesia we put an extra cautionary note DO NOT bring any even “mild” drugs/narcotics (other than prescription) into the Country. Violators, even if they are not from Indonesia, are subject to life in a 3rd world prison and the death penalty, and the foreign governments can do very little about it: don’t take any risks.

  • How good at Yoga do I have to be to attend?

We recommend you have at least 1 year experience practicing yoga, however there are no specific asana or fitness requirements.
