If you love Vinyasa but find Ashtanga’s primary long seated sequence a bit boring, this class was created for you! Ashtanga Inpsired is the perfect “masala,” or mixture, of Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga postures. In this 90 minute class, Ashtanga postures from primarily the first and second series will be mixed in a non-orthodox order, leaving more space for new challenges and surprises for both beginners and more experienced Ashtangis.

  • Ashtanga Vinyasa (Guided)

Guided classes give beginners a sense of the structure of the practice. The teacher leads the class as a group with clear instruction on each pose & the breathing technique. Guided classes are great for learning how to practice and also for the energy that comes from everyone breathing and moving together.

  • Breath of Awakening

  • Budokon Inspired

Budokon style yoga is a modern yoga style which unites the ancient tradition of self inquiry with modern mixed movement. Budokon Yoga was codified and popularized by Cameron Shayne beginning in 2001. Considered a science, art and philosophy which synchronizes classical yoga with, martial arts, calisthenics, animal locomotion and life science. The foundation of this style is the Budokon Yoga Primary Series. This series consists of 7 intelligently assembled sections of slow and controlled movements designed to improve mobility, agility, flexibility and strength. The techniques are learned through repetition and precision, the emphasis being on the transitions from posture to posture, rather than the holding of postures. The purpose of this class is to gain muscular strength, cardiovascular stamina, and joint mobility. www.budokon.com

Often a mix of Vinyasa and held poses in an intelligent sequence, this class is the practice of the teacher.

  • Kirtan

“Kirtan is a means of finding our way back to the core of our Being, to our heart, and to our connection with each other.” - Ragani Kirtan is a very special kind of music. Based on ancient chants, it has the ability to quiet the mind if listened to with intention. Everyone experiences kirtan differently. You can think of it as a sing-along. Singing is the heart of kirtan, though no one actually cares what you sound like. At a kirtan concert all voices merge together to become One Voice. Because kirtan has roots in India, many of the songs are sung in Sanskrit. You can be completely immersed in the sound, with no words to distract the mind. The magic of the chants can then carry you within.
