Class descriptions

  • Align & Flow

In this class you will learn how to break down the pieces of a sequence in order to comprehend how the individual poses are meant to feel. We then link them together to create the flow - great for all levels of experience as it is loaded with tips and techniques.

  • Arm Balance

Explore balance through breath and strengthening postures in a fun and challenging sequence of arm balances designed to teach you how to strengthen and balance with ease. You will be guided through specific techniques designed to strengthen your body, overcome fear and develop the balance required to achieve arm balances postures. Each class builds from the foundations – working from the ground up to ensure you achieve confident and safe arm balances.

  • Ashtanga Inspired

If you love Vinyasa but find Ashtanga’s primary long seated sequence a bit boring, this class was created for you! Ashtanga Inpsired is the perfect “masala,” or mixture, of Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga postures. In this 90 minute class, Ashtanga postures from primarily the first and second series will be mixed in a non-orthodox order, leaving more space for new challenges and surprises for both beginners and more experienced Ashtangis.

  • Ashtanga Vinyasa (Guided)

Guided classes give beginners a sense of the structure of the practice. The teacher leads the class as a group with clear instruction on each pose & the breathing technique. Guided classes are great for learning how to practice and also for the energy that comes from everyone breathing and moving together.

  • Ayurvedic Vinyasa Flow

This practice will be an all-levels, dynamic flow structured around seasonal and daily rhythms to restore balance in the mind, body and spirit. This class uses the concepts of Ayurveda, the Sister Science of Yoga, and applies them to physical asana practice. This class will include energetic, inspired movement, conscious breathing and Ayurvedic ideas threaded throughout to help you remain balanced on and off the mat.

  • Ayurvedic Restorative

This gentle class uses the concepts of Ayurveda, the Sister Science of Yoga, and connects them to the healing, therapeutic aspect of restorative yoga. In Ayurveda, it is said that the natural intelligence of the body is re-established during rest. Restorative yoga with an Ayurvedic focus provides the ideal physical space for unconscious realignments to occur, inviting softness, surrender and acceptance. This practice will be structured around seasons and daily rhythms to balance in the body, mind, and spirit.

  • Blindfold Vinyasa

Experience yoga from a deep and different perspective in a flowing Vinyasa style class, where all students are blindfolded. You’ll be safely guided through postures and sequences that are challenging and playful, and will leave you feeling more grounded and present. Confident beginners welcome, though some yoga experience is preferred.

  • Breath of Awakening

Following ancient and structured breath techniques (Pranayama) in a regulated and nurturing environment, we explore the intimacy of our true nature: compassion, self trust, wisdom, strength and the ability to undo old habits in order to reshape into an awakened You.

  • Budokon Inspired

Budokon style yoga is a modern yoga style which unites the ancient tradition of self inquiry with modern mixed movement. Budokon Yoga was codified and popularized by Cameron Shayne beginning in 2001. Considered a science, art and philosophy which synchronizes classical yoga with, martial arts, calisthenics, animal locomotion and life science. The foundation of this style is the Budokon Yoga Primary Series. This series consists of 7 intelligently assembled sections of slow and controlled movements designed to improve mobility, agility, flexibility and strength. The techniques are learned through repetition and precision, the emphasis being on the transitions from posture to posture, rather than the holding of postures. The purpose of this class is to gain muscular strength, cardiovascular stamina, and joint mobility.

  • Embodied Flow

Embodied Flow is a continuum of movement and expression drawing from the discoveries of hatha, tantric and somatic movement systems to experience yoga as a living art form. This practice aims to empower practitioners to light up their entire body-mind with their awareness to remember and experience the unified field.

  • Flexibility & Mobility

Fascia is the interconnected sensory organ that covers everything in our body – every organ, every muscle, every bone, even every muscle fiber. It gives us strength, flexibility and elasticity–though can be out of alignment due to everything from injury, to thought patterns, to different forms of repetitive exercise. This class will focus on unraveling, strengthening, and lengthening fascia while deeply calming the central nervous system. Gain benefits whether a new student or movement professional. Leave feeling light, calm and buoyant.

  • Gentle Flow

Wake up with the sun, roosters and all the locals! Get out of bed, right onto the yoga mat and into your body! This soothing gentle class starts with sun salutations to greet the sunrise and focuses on an exploration of basic yoga poses and how to connect them through attention to breathing, alignment and mindfulness. The classes will also include some basic pranayama (breathing techniques) and chanting.

  • Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is the forceful path of awakening through balancing polarities and transcending separation using the body mind as a vehicle for the expansion of consciousness. A deep and conscious flow to explore and cultivate embodiment and awareness.

  • Kirtan

“Kirtan is a means of finding our way back to the core of our Being, to our heart, and to our connection with each other.” - Ragani Kirtan is a very special kind of music. Based on ancient chants, it has the ability to quiet the mind if listened to with intention. Everyone experiences kirtan differently. You can think of it as a sing-along. Singing is the heart of kirtan, though no one actually cares what you sound like. At a kirtan concert all voices merge together to become One Voice. Because kirtan has roots in India, many of the songs are sung in Sanskrit. You can be completely immersed in the sound, with no words to distract the mind. The magic of the chants can then carry you within.

  • Meditation and Pranayama

Focus your mind and ground your being with this guided meditation and pranayama (breathing) practice. Each class will offer a range of different meditation and pranayama techniques and principles to give you a holistic experience of these fundamental aspects of yoga. All levels of experience welcome.
