WORKSHOP: VINYASA YOGA & AYURVEDA

ELEMENTAL VINYASA
10AM - 12PM

Discover how the elements outside of us are also the elements within us.  Through an enlivening vinyasa practice and inspiring insights from Ayurveda, we will explore the nature of flow in ourselves, and in all our relationships.

To join this class, please bring one element from NATURE for our Community Nature Mandala. It can be a leaf, fallen flower, rock, shell etc. All levels of yogis welcome. This workshop will include a discussion and practice.


PRAKRITI 101: DECODING OUR ELEMENTAL NATURE
1.30 - 3.30PM

 Earth, Fire, Air and Water. According to Ayurveda, India’s ancient science wisdom of healing and longevity, the elemental building blocks of nature also exist within us. Join Ayurvedic Counselor and Yogini Insiya Rasiwala-Finn in a riveting discussion on Ayurveda’s fundamental principle that we are intrinsically connected to our larger environment. We will discover our individual “Prakriti” through a modern understanding of the doshas (or Ayurvedic mind-body types) and examine how these elements and energies impact our individual health, wellbeing and purpose. ABOUT INSIYA

Insiya Rasiwala-Finn B.A., E-RYT, Ayurvedic Counselor, is a yogini and writer originally from Bombay, India. Since 2006, Insiya has been on a radical journey of self-healing, simplicity and exploration, sharing her insights as a yogi, a woman and a mother through writing and teaching. Insiya is known for her lyrical, heart-filled yet challenging vinyasa practice, a first-person, East-West perspective in her teachings, and the ability to make the ancient wisdom of Vedic India relevant, contemporary and alive.

She has been featured in Yoga Journal magazine and presents internationally at festivals such as Wanderlust and Bali Spirit. Insiya is also known as the other half of Blissology, a global movement to infuse YOGA with more community, nature and heart, that she helps shape with her husband - renowned yogi Eoin Finn.
