About retreats
Retreats are the most powerful way we share. Saying what happens in a retreat is impossible, and when we come together to bring out our beauty and share it, magic happens. Certainly the activities are important: yoga, hiking, massage, meditating, dancing or something that occurs spontaneously, and yet the deepest transformation comes for most of us by creating a community, laughing, playing and simply being together.

I offer retreats, which are different from workshops in that, whether for two days or three weeks, we live together in nature and luxury. From walks in nature to gourmet health meals, lectures to costume parties, meditation to hysterics, we allow the usual walls to dissolve and with them the subtle isolation that separates us from life.

For me – and the exceptional people with whom I lead - retreats are special opportunities to connect with amazing people whom we would usually know only in a class or a session. We make lasting friendships. For many of the participants, beyond everything learned and experienced, it is these enduring relationships that prove most valuable. It’s truly a gift to step out of life’s normal routine of busyness and enter a sacred world of caring, exploring, learning and playing. We return to what we left different people, and create old worlds new.
